What is the difference between our Versa-Sonic Drill and the conventional top drive rotary or auger drills? The Versa-Sonic Drill has a specially designed hydraulically powered drill head or oscillator which generates adjustable high frequency vibrational and rotational motion coupled with down pressure to advance the cutting edge of the sonic drill bit. Unique Versa-Sonic design features Sonicor Model 50K sonic drill head combines rotation and vibration. Drill head will tilt/pivot 90° hydraulically to assist the driller with rapid and safe make-up of drill pipe connections. Fully automated, hydraulic rotating break out table assembly, makes for easy drill pipe connection breakout, and also can be retracted hydraulically, off hole. Also, an optional hydraulic rod spinner built into the table assembly is available. A specially designed long stroke, swing jib, for the main wench, aids driller in maneuvering tooling around drill head.
